Scrumplicious Food! is about…..

Welcome to the Scrumplicious Food! Blog.

A girl’s journey from Africa to America.  A food and photography diary showcasing food adventures from Africa, Europe, the Middle East and America.

This year, 2012  promises to be a good year. You see this blog began in 2009, but at the time it was just a place to day dream about food. Today, inspired by a collection of cook books, food blogs, TV food shows, restaurants visits and of course my own taste buds for all things scrumptious and delicious, I have discovered that I love food, and yes that I am a foodie.  Since coming to the USA, I have been mesmerized by the different ways you can have rice, potato, beef, chicken, beans, a sandwich, stews and many other dishes.

Many of the dishes I will share, are an adaptation of many recipes that I have enjoyed from my travels around the world.  I have been in Kenya and the USA the longest.  I have also been to the U.A.E,  England, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, Uganda, Tanzania and  Zambia.  Each place has provided an opportunity for me to sample and try new foods that tantalize and mesmerize.  I will try and reference the origin of  the recipe and tell you why I love or what has inspired me to try each dish in my very own kitchen.

Hopefully you will enjoy the ideas we ( hubbie and I ) have for delicious and easy to cook homemade meals from around the world.  Some recipes will be posted because we have had great experiences and now feel nostalgic. Others will be recipes passed down from family members. Other recipes will be great creations that have come along since we have been married. In the Food Safari section, you will find out where some of the food we showcase has come from and where you can enjoy the same if you would rather eat out with family and friends.

Here is to  scrumptious and delicious discoveries.  Simply….. Scrumplicious Food! (and Photography) Enjoy!

  1. Thanks! I just approved your blog claim. Now your Urbanspoon profile picture is displayed on your blog page. You can upload a blog-specific photo if you prefer, and can change a few other blog settings there. Also, if you vote for a restaurant that you’ve reviewed on your blog, we now show your vote next to your post everywhere on our site.

    • Thanks Greg. I look forward to reviewing more restaurants and sharing ideas with everyone who loves food. Hope you enjoy your day.
