Curry Spice


Curry, the spice mostly found in Indian cuisine is featured in the current issue of Akin’s Natural Foods Market, The Healthy Edge Magazine, April 2013.

On the cover is a picture of Curry and on page 10 an article about the benefits of Curry as an ancient remedy.



Curry is really a mixture of spices like coriander, cumin, black pepper, brown mustard , fenugreek , cloves, red chillies, turmeric. I will post a recipe on how to make your very own curry at home soon. Look out for it.



Curry has a bright yellow color that comes from one of the ingredients. Turmeric’s yellow color comes from curcuminoids. Studies have shown some of the health benefits to include the following: relieves pain through it’s anti-inflammatory properties, decreases blot clots, improves digestion, and protects against premature aging.


Guess it is time to up my game. Moral of this post. Use curry more often!

Another reason to reuse, recyle and repurpose your condiment bottles.
